The Passion of a Dream

At the age of six, I began to dream that one day I would be a part of something that would bring hope and healing to hurting people around the world. I didn’t have to look far. It has been well over twenty years that I have been traveling with my brothers fulfilling that same dream.

Do you have a dream? Do you have passion behind that dream? Psalm 37:3-4 says, “Trust in the Lord and do good, dwell in the Land and enjoy safe pasture. Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart.”
Your passion will be tested by these five principles:

D. R. E. A. M.

D – Devote your whole trust in no one else but the Lord
R – Release good deeds from your heart
E – Edify yourself in the presence of God
A – Acknowledge the faith and blessings of God
M – Make God happy through your talents and abilities

You may have an idea of what you want to do, but you must remember, an idea is a figment of one’s imagination. A “God idea” is birthed from the heart of God into our hearts. It then becomes that dream that becomes our life assignment and our passion.

Make a choice today to D.R.E.A.M. God’s way. He will show you His plan and you will only then understand the passion of a dream.

C’mon Kuzins don’t be scared, comment. This is good stuff and I know we’re all out there thinking deeply about Jesse’s message today.
There are some of you out there that are worried that what you are passionate about will not be recognized or even rewarded. So, you don’t know if it is worth persuing. GOD will see! Not only that but HE knows. Don’t do it to please man which includes our own flesh.
What if you are still uncertain about your passion in life? First of all, whatever the case it should always give GOD all the glory, take no reward for yourself. I am a firm believer that there is no private life without GOD. You might fool man by what you think you do in private but GOD always sees you, not only that HE knows your heart. The way I strive to live out my passion behind closed doors is exactly the same as I want to live it in public. Because I live to serve the most high GOD. And GOD requires of each of us. Don’t let that “free will” stuff get in your way. That is a test. If you are passionate about serving GOD you know you’re going to do it whether you like what time of day it is or not. It won’t matter if you have money or not. Do you know, the Holy spirit whispered to me, while driving the other day. I was probably feeling a heavy burden regarding finances and my inability to give, Here is what I heard “Mark, you can still be greedy and not have anything.” GOD was showing me the poverty spirit, which is not of HIM and it was attempting to take me down. The last thing I want to do is withold any good thing. I appreciated that word. The enemy is out ther friends and he wants you to be bound up with “I can’t” “no” “i’m broke” “I don’t know how” “what will people think?”
If you are hearing these things then maybe its like what Jesse was saying, if its just an idea to you then maybe it is only a figment of your imagination. But if you know the dream is alive on the inside, call those things that are not as though they are and fight the good fight with all of us. Tell the devil to go to hell in Jesus name! Submit to GOD and start obeying HIM! The Holy Spirit is your helper and GOD will make a way out of no way. C’mon HE is the way the truth and the life! You’ve got destiny locked on the inside of you and your dream is the key that unlocks the door. If your friends and family don’t know that you’re a Christian then you’re probably not. I want to live the life that Jesus defeated death and rose from the dead so that I could live it abundantly and without reservation. I thank GOD for my brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus and the GODLY council HE provides me to keep on moving in the right direction. Praise Jesus! Oh c’mon somebody! Grab ahold of your self and just shake the dream to the surface and tell it to stay there. You are on assignment, you have been authorized and deputized and Baptized (I hope) in the name that is above every other name! Jesus! Jesus! JESUS!!! As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord! I love you all. May GOD bless you and your family. Looking forward to reading your thoughts and praise reports! Keep on praying for eachother! The effectual, fervent prayers of the riteous avail much! Thank you Jesus!

I can’t write enough times about how encouraging these devotionals are in these trying times. Today’s devotional really spoke to me. I’m starting to realize that when you lay your passions, talents and dreams before the feet of God, He has a way of working it out for His glory (if that makes any sense). And to me that is what separates our dreams and God’s dreams (our motivation). Again a great message and something I’ll take with me all this week.

Praise Jesus, my brothers and sisters! Jesse…wow! That was so great. It was very inspiring and on-point. Thank you for sharing your dream that you had when u were a child…and look what happened! The Good Lord is the Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End, and the Author and Finisher of our Faith…which means that if the Lord started something in us, He will see it through until it is finished. It is us who determines when. The Israelites could have been in the promised land long before, but because of their lack of faith and their disobedience it took them 40 yrs, yet…God kept his word. He saw it through.

Brothers and Sisters we need to make the decision to take the first step forward toward living the dream the Lord gave us. If we don’t it doesn’t mean that God won’t see it through because He always finishes what He starts. If He has to go through your children or your children’s children, he will. Remember that we are all called for a purpose.

Please comment on ways that the Lord has fulfilled your dreams…it is inspiring to others.

Great message Jesse! I really like what you said Jesse ” A “God idea” is birthed from the heart of God into our hearts. It then becomes that dream that becomes our life assignment and our passion.” When we think of our “God Dreams” we need to think bigger then ourselves. A God dream doesn’t have limits on it..Know whatever you think God is going to think bigger then that.

As Christians we need to have a mission in mind and that is to reach out to people in need and make big “Godly Changes” in our cities. That mission needs to be bigger then ourselves. We must never forget that God saved us and gave us a purpose to do amazing things. Being a Christian is so amazing because it’s not about you or me but it’s a deeper love then most people will never know. It’s about how we can live our lives bigger then rest of the world. It’s about how we can search for those God dreams and reach them. Being a Christian is about knowing that you are on a mission with Him and aren’t going to stop that mission for anything but yet you are going to keep on going for Him because you have a heart and passion for Him.

Part of Luke 4:18-19 says “This is God’s year to act.” Like I said be on that mission that God has put you on. Find that God dream that was placed in you and just go after it with all that you have with out stopping,, when you do that God will act and bless you so big!

*Ask yourself this: What are you willing to go through for Jesus?

*If you need God on your side tell yourself that God is with me and I am walking through it.

In a few months the young people in my church are going to go into this city and do a big makover to this place that will help those who are just getting out of jail. It’s the young peoples dream in my church to reach as many people and cities as we can so we can fulfill the Godly dreams and show people that there is a God who loves and has passion for everyone.

Have a heart that is filled of dreams for God. Let your heart always be filled of how you are going to serve God.

Know that God has a heart for you!

Ahhh…Thnx Jesse!!! Like Bro James said, LOVE YOUR PASSION!! What a WORD!! When it’s God’s Word…it’s always refreshing and new! I am reminded of that passage that says…”Is anything too hard for God???” Jesse, this devotion is exactly what I needed to hear and to apply this very week, as the Lord opened up a door that seemed overwhelming and soooo “A dream come true” opportunity for me…like bro Mark mentioned…we have destiny locked up inside of us and I believe it’s because we have Christ through His Holy Spirit dwelling inside of us, He never leaves us and never forsakes us. I went for it believing if it’s God’s Will, it will come to pass, if not then God will continue to do the work in and thru me. I was also reminded that the enemy will try to whisper that “I can’t do it” or “I am not up for the task and not qualified”…but Praise God, that greater is He who is in me than he who is in the world…God does NOT choose those that are qualified…He qualifies those He chooses!! Thank you Jesus for being the GREAT GOD that you are! Goin’ thru a study right now about the person of the Holy Spirit- The Invisible Man..He is truly the one to bring dreams to pass when it’s according to God’s plan and purpose for our lives!! How exciting is that???

I thought I would share a little tiny bit of what I heard in my church this morning.

*The accent of the kingdom. When you talk to others can they hear your accent of the kingdom? Can they guess that you are a son or a daughter of the King? You should be really proud of your accent of the Kingdom because there is so much attached to God in how He wants to bless your life.

*Expectation VS. Appreciation
Appreciate what God has done for you. Have an open mind for what God is going to do in your life. When you have an expectation of thinking that’s when you are starting to loose a little bit of your faith…. meaning if you want God to bless you when you want him to and he doesn’t that means you are slipping a little bit in the dreams that God has for you. To many people in this world have an expectation of God and think they know who He is so they put walls up around that.. As true Christians we can’t do that instead we must have a heart for God.. we also must appreciate God and keep serving Him.

This last Sat we gave out food boxes to those in need. First before it all started all the volunteers had to fill many boxes with different kinds of foods first. It might have not seemed much and the volunteers could have had some kind expectation that it wouldn’t have go well..but instead so many people came to volunteer and they all knew that the church was going to feed so many people so there was a great deal of appreciation.

When ever you have a deep feeling of love in your heart that is God knocking on your heart trying to move in you. Let Him guide you to the dreams that He has for you. Let Him bless you in all different kind of ways.

Is your DNA marked in the Kingdom of Heaven? Meaning do you really know that when you pass on you are going to go be with our Lord?

When you think of our God you should be so attached to Him in the way that words can’t describe how much He means to you and how much you love Him! Be God’s hands & Feet… be a voice for the Kingdom! Make a difference in your city so people know that there is a real God who loves you!

I had no doubt that you would bring it…first the Power, then the Purpose, and now the Pasion of a dream. If you would stop here , I’ll be soooo content. It would definitely make sooo much sense to the many who tune into our devotions. I loved how you guys bought out these points sooo perfectly and its all because you ARE products of a dream come true. What an inspiration to many who are still trying to find their purpose in life, I know this because I speak of experience. I didn’t have the drive to dream big when I was a child, and just like Sam said, I was in my mid 20′s to 30 still couldn’t find myself and God’s original plan for my life. I didn’t know what it meant to DREAM and to live knowing that I have the ability, desire or strong feeling to make a difference. I don’t want to say that I was robbed from when I was young, but I can definitely say that whatever happened delayed my accomplishments. Praise God, because the time is now. I thank God for our devotions here, because it confirms and encourage my decisions to keep moving towards accomplishing my dreams. I know that I am now all grown and still living out the dream that God “birthed” within me, but my heart is that we educate our young ones to dream like there is no tomorrow. I really loved the quote given the first week of this series by James Dean; “Dream as if you’ll live forever, live as if you’ll die today!” Joseph was a young leader that changed the course for the Israelites, so I believe we have a Joseph in our midst. Lets continue to pass on the knowledge to dream “God birth ideas” to the next generations.

Praise Jesus, my brothers and sisters! Thank you to all of you who have left awesome messages here! They are all so inspirational and it feels so good to have a place we can share with one another! The Lord is so Awesome!
I would like to share something with all of you and hope I will get some great responses.
Today a sister of our church sang a beautiful song called YES (I don’t recall who sings it) and the anointing joined her as we all worshiped and said “Yes” to the Lord.

Today I said “Yes” to him with all my heart. Here are a few of the things I have said yes today to. What will you say yes to?

I will say yes…
To Life…The enemy has come to steal, kill, & destroy…but..
The Lord has come that we may have life and that we may have it more abundantly (John 10:10)
To Joy ….(John 16:20-24)
To Prosperity
To The Will of the Father
To Being Separate….Come out from among them and be ye separate…(2Cor. 6:17)
To Being an example of His love and mercy
To Go wherever the Lord sends me
To Making Myself Available to the one who always makes Himself available to me!

I love the encouraging words that are left on here. Coming back to the devotions I always learn something new or am able to see a different perspective. While looking over the verses(Psalm 37:3-4) last night I was able to see how the acronym directly relates it(ya’ll probably already saw this):

DEVOTE your trust in no one else but the Lord (“Trust in the Lord”)
RELEASE good deeds from your heart (“do good”)
EDIFY yourself in the presence of God (“Dwell in the land”)
ACKNOWLEDGE the faith and blessings of God (“feed on His faithfulness”)
MAKE God happy through your talents & abilities (“Delight yourself in the Lord”)

Anyway, maybe I’m reaching too far with that, but that’s what I got out of it.God Bless!

I haven’t had access to the internet and I just saw your post. Thank you for remembering my family in your prayers.Sister Dawn has also been praying over my situation. God is transforming my life and my husband’s life. We are experiencing his peace and his love in a way we never have before. I have prayed for my husband for 18 years and he is not just saved, but wants to be a new man in Christ. That in itself is a miracle from God. So I am thankful for this answered prayer and as all of you have advised, taking it one day at a time. I ask all of you here on this website to stand in agreement with my husband and I that he will be home with my children and I on Friday, by the grace of GOD so that we can glorify his name and give the honor to him. And when God moves in our lives, WE WILL be there to worship together as husband and wife at the ROCK with the Katinas, whom I am so thankful for creating this website to help me through the darkest period of my life. Sister Steph, how we magnify and give thanks to our Abba Daddy for your praise report, for sharing with us Gods faithfulness to you, & your husband Ron and children. He indeed is the faithful merciful sovereign God! May you both continue to see, know, experience first hand the presence of God working from the inside out in you and your husband. Keep trusting, believing, praising and loving God no matter what the outer circumstances are. Continue to walk by faith and not by sight! Greetings in LORD again my Brother. Just had to let you know that my step Son Jeremy (oneof 3, check out my albums) and I just watched your DVD. For me, well BRO, I have watched it, cried with it, laughed with it, praised the name of JESUS with it at least ONCE a day since it came in the mail. Today Jeremy joined me, raising hands in my living room, crying out to the LORD! There is something about the anointing on this DVD, and you guys have never done so much for the cause of Christ!!!!! I AM BLESSED. I will be coming soon somewhere to see you guys, and hopefull bring Judy this time, this summer, somewhere, even asking Greg Miller is we can book you again at CLC in UTAH…MY heart is filled with complete joy as I pray for you, your brothers and your families.
