PSALM 103:1
O MY SOUL, BLESS GOD. FROM HEAD TO TOE, I’LL BLESS HIS HOLY NAME! O MY SOUL, BLESS GOD, DON’T FORGET A SINGLE BLESSING!

Some of you may know that this week we, The Katinas are celebrating 20 years of full time ministry. Our wives are putting “something” together for us this Thursday evening. I say “something” because while they’ve been planning this for months, we’ve been totally in “the dark”. We have no idea what’s happening! It’s exciting but I must confess, my brothers and I are a bit nervous. Usually we are the ones planning and putting the “show” together. It could get interesting. We’ll keep you posted!

At times we can become so driven and focused on the future. But there are moments when it is just as important to “remember” the past. When I reflect on the countless miles we’ve traveled, the beautiful people we’ve met, the lives that have been impacted, and the journey we’ve ventured so far, I am amazed at God’s enduring love. When we were just kids on and island dreaming that some day God would use our lives and music to touch the world. Wow, time flies when you’re having fun.

I encourage you today, to “remember”! Think about how God’s mercy and provision has kept you going. Remember how and what He’s set you free from. Meditate on how much He loves you. Bless Him! Praise Him! Thank Him! Worship Him! Even if you’re facing the most difficult of challenges, it is God who is faithful and will bring you through. If you’re past is too dark and you just want to put it behind you, remember that in God the best is yet to come!

Remembering God’s grace,

Joe

Thanks Joe for the great email. It’s always amazing to see how far we have come when God takes over our lives. Your so right if we are going through a dark time that is when we really need to press into God more. God moves big in the hard times. We should always remember that we don’t have to see God to believe in Him!! We should know right away that He is our Father that we deeply love and want to serve!

Thank you Joe for the beautiful email. You guys are great. I just love you guys. Consider me your #1 fan.

I met you at the Rock Church in San Diego about two weeks ago. The first time I heard the Katinas was at the Rock. I was sitting in the sanctuary and the Katinas sang “I’m praying for you.” I was going through a divorce at the time and my tears just starting flowing. I will never forget that moment. It’s like you guys were specifically talking to me. God is always faithful and he has always been there for me.

You guys are great. May God continue to Bless you all of your life. God’s blessings to you and your family. I know your Mom in Heaven is looking down on you and is so proud of you. May God Bless you always.

  4. HAPPY BIRTHDAY KATINAS!! It takes a lot of prayer, perseverance, and faith to keep a ministry going for 20 years. I’m your biggest Sacramento fan, and now, my 2 year old LOVES you too! His favorite song is “I am Free” and every time we get in the car he says “free, free” asking me to play it so he can air drum. He’s a drummer in the making, and he loves drumming to your live album at The Rock. You guys can make a 2 year old go crazy and praise God. Feel good about that =)

Hope to see you next time you’re in Sacramento!

Hey Kuzins, just read all of your comments from this weeks devotion as well as so many well wishes from the previous blog. As I sit here in the Washington Dulles airport, waiting to board our flight to South Africa, I am overwhelmed and reminded about how blessed my brothers and I have been to do what we love to do and more importantly, to be a small part of God’s great plan around the world. Thank you all so much for continuing to encourage us along the way. As we move forward in this journey, my prayer is that we take time to “Remember” all that he has done and what he will continue to do in our lives. To God be the glory. Please pray for us while we are in South Africa. Blessings
