HEIRS OF GOD

Hey Kuzins!

Do you sometimes feel like you don’t belong? Have you ever felt out of place and discouraged?

As I asked the Lord what to share for this weeks devo, I sensed His voice saying, “All God’s children are heirs of God”.
We just got back from an amazing cruise,”Katinas and friends cruise 2011″.
We were a group that consisted of people from different ethnic backgrounds, ages, likes and dislikes. Our first gathering was Monday evening. We called it “Meet and greet”. It definitely felt like the 1st gathering. Alot of people were checking it all out. There were some first timers that seemed a little quiet and reserved. However, the quietness didn’t last long. Throughout the week, as people spent time together talking, praying, eating and laughing I saw new friendships forged and old ones strengthened. By the time Friday rolled around, nobody wanted to go home. How did this closeness come about? People hanging out and doing life together.
When feelings of insecurity and loneliness try to creep in and the devil tries to discourage you, remind yourself that you belong to the greatest family in the universe.”The family of God”. Membership in God’s family brings privileges that boggle the mind. (Rom 8:17) says that whatever belongs to Christ belongs to us. (Matt.28:20) says that Jesus is always with us. These promises will ring loudly in our hearts when we spend quality time with God. He’s always doing something new. (Is.42:9)

When you get a true revelation of God’s family, loneliness and discouragement cannot take root in your life. You’re never alone! You’ve been adopted by God Himself. No longer are you slave but son. Beautiful, or what?

Sam – great reminder to us all. Indeed we are all part of the “family of God” aren’t we. How cool is that? That’s why we’re “Kuzins”. Thanks so much for sharing this!

[It's wonderful that the cruise was a smashing success. Maybe one of these cruises will be on a 'boat' large enough for me to go on...I get seasick. :-( ]

Thx for the link on twitter. Yes, I’ve always felt out of place growing up. But, now as a Christian my ups and downs are protected by God and not growing up without my biological dad(deceased), I found my father who made it possible for our family to live. Thank God for people like you guys who reach out to the fallen, who have scrapes, bumps, and bruises….:)…God Bless you guys and many more…Codie..AKA. cocopuff67….twitter

I just want to say what a blessing you all are to us sisters and brothers in Christ.
A few of us got to see you perform in Carson and San Diego Cali.
What an amazing time spent with the Holy Spirit present. My girlfriend Rosa battling cancer at a point of depression needed to be there that night and you reminded her of Gods faithfullness with your transparent testimonies. THANK YOU!
Her brother in law also gave his life to the Lord that night. Praise GOD!
I hope you all know how many people both saved and unsaved you have touched with your genuine testimonies. I pray that God will bless you and your beautiful families richly and that you will continue to reach out to the unsaved as they so desperately need to be reminded of our Lords love.
We will see you again when you come out this way, which looks to be soon.
God bless each and everyone of you brothers. Your parents would be proud of you!!!

My wife and I just had a great time celebrating her birthday by going on the Katina cruise for the past 3 years. It was even more special this year because our 4 kids and daughter-in-law got to come too for their first time. None of them go to chuch on their own free will since they are out of the house and in their 20s. I’m happy to report that my 22 y/o daughter has since surprised us and started to show up at our church each Sunday since the cruise! My beforehand-cruise-prayers have been answered for her. I’m still praying for the others too to desire to be in God’s house on their own volition.
Thank you Katinas for making it fun to be in God’s presence. Keep the faith and doing what you’re doing. Can’t wait to see you in Sacramento in 2 weeks.
